I met Mae at the church in Springfield in 1984, as a newlywed, just after I was saved. She taught our Sunday school class and made such an impression on me. I have remembered all these years her beautiful smile and warm personality. But most of all I remember her saying on numerous occasions as she looked heavenward, " I just can"t wait to see my Jesus! That has been an inspiration for me so many times throughout my life. I am happy for her that she is no doing exactly that. I look forward to sharing that experience with her some day!

I have such warm, wonderful memories of Mae. When she entered a room, her smile radiated to every person she encountered within it. She was a patient listener, a steadfast light, and she truly lived her faith in the most exemplary way. She impacted many lives of all ages throughout the years. My last meeting with Mae was in the summer of 2001 when I helped load some desk furniture and other items from my childhood home into her convertible. She was so happy to be able to pass along those things to children in need. I was in Springfield moving my late mother to Tucson, AZ (where I live) following my father's death, and Mae provided enormous comfort to my bereaved mother and to me, too. My final memory of her is her beaming smile, her big wave, and the late July sun surrounding her as she drove away. I just found out about her passing today. I have some comfort in knowing that she's brightening up Heaven with her unique, beautiful light. How blessed I am to have known her and to have been touched by her genuine goodness. Such fond memories, too, of the trio of Mae, Gary, & Jim singing at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Springfield, MA. Until we meet again, Mae, keep shining, dear lady.

My condolences to the family of this very special lady. Mae touched many lives at ECC Springfield, including mine. Her godly advice was offered in such a loving way, backed up by action and prayers, that she reflected the love of Christ to everyone she met. I will be always be grateful for her support following the death of my husband. May she rejoice in the presence of her Lord and Savior forever! We all miss you, Mae!

Mae was my youth group leader for many years in the late 60's. She was energetic, creative and a blessing to all of us. When I married she welcomed my wife into her family of friends. She did the same with my children. We always looked forward to going home to visit as Mae was always there to visit with. Her desire was always to fulfill God's will for her here on earth. We look forward to the reunion.
