May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. John 14:1 our Heavenly Father cares for us.

I will remember Pat Adam as one of the most influential women in Pierre, perhaps in South Dakota. I did not know her well. But I watched her and her children and now her grandchildren. Amazing people. She personified what it means to be a public servant during a time when women in SD tended to take a back seat to their men folk. She was a class act, uncommonly gracious and like, E.F. Hutton, people listened to her when she spoke. She seemed to always say the right thing at the right time. Her word was good. Her crowning achievement, however, is that she raised amazing children who raised amazing children who no doubt will raise amazing children, who will raise amazing children... Less you surmise that I discount her for her many and varied interests and contributions, I do not. There is no greater accomplishment than to be a gifted homemaker and mother, mentor, counselor, sage, and she was all of that and so much more. If you know an Adam offspring or a granchild, you know that the Adam legacy continues. It is only the matriarch of this fabulous family who has departed in body. The spirit lives on and on and on...RIP Pat Adam. You graced us with your presence.

I remember Pat Adam as one of the most gracious and kind ladies I have ever met. She was always the most amazing example to follow and obviously she touched many lives so specially. I know all of her children and they are as amazing as their mother. She clearly lives on in their hearts. God bless you Pat!
