Violet "Vie" Brogden
Violet "Vie" Thommen Brogden, 90, of Goddard, KS and formerly of Gettysburg, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Medicalodges in Wichita, KS.
At the request of Vie, no services will be held, but she will be laid to rest next to her first husband, Donald Thommen in the Gettysburg Cemetery.
Violet Mae Renner was born December 16, 1925 in Gettysburg, SD to Ferdinand and Mabel (Fuller) Renner. She attended and graduated high school from Gettysburg.
Vie's life has been an adventure. She has been able to live a number of places to include: Gettysburg while married to Donald. Here they owned and operated the Sunset Café. She then moved to Arnolds Park and Milford, IA, Sioux Falls, SD and Dodge City and Wichita, KS. Her life has been spent with her husbands, Donald Thommen, Steve Jensen and Doran Brodgen.
Vie loved her animals, playing cards, doing puzzles and cooking.
Her life will be cherished by her nephew, Steve (Trudy) Renner and niece, Brenda (Mike) Storm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Luverne Renner; and all of her husbands.
Vie asked that any memorial be directed to the Omaha Zoo Foundation. (www.familyfuneralhome.net)
