The Tucker family have many found memories of visits to Pierre and spending time with Roger, Suzanne and their lovely family. Roger, the coach and teacher taught the grandchildren to drive and water ski. He was a very patient teacher.

In October 2008, Roger and Suzanne hosted former Iraqi Ambassador to the United Nations, T. Hamid al Bayati, for the Governors Invitational Pheasant Hunt. Ambassador al Bayati was so grateful to hunt with such an accomplished hunter and wild life expert as Roger Pries.

He was a really good high school teacher and my "B" Squad basketball coach in the very early 1960's. He was a good coach who played everyone and taught us lots of things besides basketball. He spoke at our 50th high school reunion in 2013 and did a wonderful job. I was lucky enough to sit at the same banquet table with him and Suzanne at the reunion. We had a great conversation and he kept the table in stitches over stuff that happened 50 years ago. His work after being a teacher with wildlife and habitat was excellent and very beneficial to South Dakota. The world was a better place because of "Mr. Pries".

Very kind and nice person. Roger is the well respectable in high school teacher and basketball coach in Riggs Senior HS. Coach was a disciplined man on and off basketball court. I miss him. We met once awhile in Pierre. We visited with Roger and Suzanne.
