Roxanna was more like a mother to me than a mother-in-law. From the first time we met in 1981, she helped me when she came to visit (including flying out to help when my daughter Katie was born), worried about me when I was sick, baked for us (she brought a large sack of flour when she came to California...we loved her breads!), shared so many of her skills with Katie as she was growing up, and completed projects for me when she'd stay at my home, which was every time she came to California. But mostly she always invited me into her home, welcomed me into the family, and always, always treated me like I was one of her kids. I enjoyed every visit we shared, I've loved her as if she were part of my family, and I will keep her in my heart forever. RIP Roxanna.
