I worked with Wayne Everson while he was employed with the SD Division of Criminal Investigation. A good man, good family man and he will certainly be missed by those that new him. RIP my friend!! Bernie Christenson, former Ass't Director, SDDCI.

I believe I first met Wayne while playing Little League baseball in Vermillion. He invited me to his house one day. After that our main contact was through High School football. I was the center and Wayne the punter during my Senior year. He and I spent countless hours prior to practices that year at Prentis Park refining our crafts.

I last ran across Wayne at the USD library when we were both pursuing advanced degrees.

My condolences to the entire Everson family on this loss.

I worked with Wayne in my early years as a DCI agent in Yankton, SD, and always enjoyed his upbeat personality and sense of humor. So sorry to hear of his passing. Prayers for Wayne and the Everson family.

My friendship with DR. Everson was long before he became a DR., honestly it's been so long since I had been in touch with him I didn't realize he had become a Doctor. He was just Wayne to me, we were children of family friends. He was older and as cool as could be with his old German spike helmet riding his Honda 450 of which he gave me unforgettable rides on. Through weight lifting and hard work he had magnificent biceps of which I was so inspired by. Even then such an individual to look up to. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I'm confident there are thousands more out there that were inspired by Wayne as well. He will be so missed, such a great guy.
