John was a very good friend. We were classmates at the Washington University School of Medicine. I only learned of his death this morning. I live in Michigan, so we only communicated via phone and text. I was planning to contact him this week regarding his beloved Carolina Tar heels basketball team's Final Four appearance.
John was a special person and a great and gifted doctor. We shared some great times in St. Louis. He had a wonderful soul. He will be missed.

John was my doctor. He was an exceptional doctor and even more an exceptional person. We shared the same love for cycling as I'm shocked to hear of how he passed. John was a genius and I will miss him.

I am devastated today. that I went to Ingles Supermarket and I found out that this Lovely Dr that I met there waiting on line at the Deli and he told me that ladies first. I remembered that I told him to tell his mother that she did a good job. Then we started talking about Science and I didn't know he was a Dr at first, but as soon as I saw him well dress and polite I got an idea that he was well educated. Later I went back another day in the evening and he was there buying his salad. That's was the day that we started a nice friendship. He was the most respectful person and loving husband. He was always talking about his wife. He was given me advice when I needed. Dr I know for sure that you are in the Heaven. Thanks for everything.
