Nature

As a fond mother, when the day is o'er,
Leads by the hand her little child to bed,
Half willing, half reluctant to be led,
And leave his broken playthings on the floor,
Still gazing at them through the open door,
Nor wholly reassured and comforted
By promises of others in their stead,
Which, though more splendid, may not please him more;
So Nature deals with us, and takes away
Our playthings one by one, and by the hand
Leads us to rest so gently, that we go
Scarce knowing if we wish to go or stay,
Being too full of sleep to understand
How far the unknown transcends the what we know.

Connie, Joe and Doug---remembering fondly the weeks spent at the CCC group camp at Unicoi with your mom and mine (Ann Thompson) in the kitchen making great food and all the tales of life in the CCC told by our dads. So glad you had Miss Ruth with you for so long.

To the family of Mrs. Elsie Ruth (Kinard) Wansley. I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Wansley was blessed with 97 years of special mightiness. (Psalms 90:10) May your hearts be filled with joyful memories of time spent with her as you remember a life well lived. May the Hearer of Prayer bring you strength and peace in your time of sorrow.

My sympathy expressed to the family and friends of Ms. Wansley. It is heartbraking to hear of death. The Wansleys were an example in, not just longevity, but an example in being married for so long. We look forward to the time when death will no longer be the victor. Is. 25:8,9

With deepest sympathy to the Wansley family during your time of grief...God is for you a "refuge and strength", A help that is there to be found during difficult times...May God provide you with "peace and comfort" to endure the days ahead...(Psalm 62:8).
