Jack Smith Obituary

Retired Sergeant First Class Jack Vincent Smith, 72, husband of 32 years of Linda Gilbert Smith, entered into rest on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 18 2017, in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Stephens J. Lyness officiating with full Military Honors.

Mr. Smith was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to the late Stonewall Jackson Smith and Alice Elizabeth Smith. He retired from the US Army having served in Vietnam. After 18 years of service, he also retired EZGO Textron as an air tool technician. He enjoyed the farm and being with his kids.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Gale Smith; one son, Jack Kyle Smith (Niki); one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Smith; one brother, Patrick Smith; and one sister, Grace Foster (Alton).

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lawrence Smith and a sister Barbara Ann Phillips.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
