Bill and I were friends for 60 years, but only exchanged Christmas cards for the past 15 years or so, after my father passed and my mother had to move to an assisted living facility. We used to ride motorcycles together and had a shared interest in guns and guitars. His father encouraged me to attend North Georgia College and subsequently I got an education. Fortunately a friend of his remembered Bill speaking of me and gave me a call to inform me of his death. I appreciate him taking the initiative to go to the trouble to find me and share the information of Bill's death. Sixty years is a long time and I will miss him. RIP my friend.

Goodby to a good friend, we only associated for two years at ARC. Our close relationship evolved through Judo which we pursued at the YMCA ,via our mutual friend Wade Mallard. This after the Judo Club at ARC disbanded. We went our separate ways but had a couple of short visits when I would be in Augusta.
