David was an exceptional god father and I will never forget the stories he used to tell and the beautiful gifts he used to send me.

He was such a charismatic man and I can only say that I'm gutted I didn't see him more.
I will always remember his story telling capabilities and charisma.

Love, Josephine Hill.

Very sad to hear this news . David was an exceptional story teller and correspondent .
It was lovely to have a meal with David and Sheila in Athens -and to have him stay in Cheddar shortly before .
Bob Sinkinson was regaining me with tales of the hacks on the road last night - including staying in a hotel in the middle of nowhere that just happened to have a great cellar !
David will be especially missed by his God daughter Josephine .
Is there any memorial in the UK ?
Love [email protected] and Johanna
