April 2, 1925-Jan 6, 2018. Born in Long Island N.Y., he moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in 1943. He was transferred to Lancaster Calif. in 1946 as a Tire and GM vehicle test driver for US Rubber Tire Co. He attended College and became a Licensed Architect as well as President of the Antelope Park Mutual Water Co. For 10 years he served as a LA County Reserve Deputy Sheriff. He sold Life and Accident Ins. and in 1965 became a Real Estate Broker along with his wife Edna. He was a Director of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and a member of the City of Lancaster Advisory Board. He was a member of the BPOE for 50 years, and a member of the Rotary Club. In 1981 he was 1 of the 8 founding Directors of AV Bank. In 1987 he and Edna moved to Ivey Ranch CC in Thousand Palms, Calif. He was an avid golfer and served in various capacities in the Golf and Homeowners Associations. He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Roberts (Ken Burlison) of Thousand Palms and Karen Patnode (Don) of Lancaster. He also has a Step-son Mike Sloan (Jill) of Lebanon Or. He has 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. His memorial will be held on January 27, 2018 at 12:00 pm, Hope Lutheran Church, 45900 Portola Ave, Palm Desert, Ca.
