It is very difficult to put the words to the page. Ann was my best friend as an adult and we had many, many happy times together. We met through the community service work my husband and I were involved with in supporting the Phoenix Police Department. ( It turned out that Ann's husband Chris had worked with my Dad who was also a police officer and I was very familiar with Chris Pollack stories even before I met him. Our friendship was 'meant to be'). We all had a love for western history and four wheeling all over the place in very out of the way locations. Ann's educational experiences were out of the ordinary and she inspired my son in his pursuits as a teacher. Ann and Chris became an integral part of our family. Her decline with the most horrible of diseases was not without inspiring moments due to her amazing intellect and perseverance. My family and I have been very blessed to have the Ann and Chris connections. Friends are a special treasure.
