Bert touched my life like few others have. My son and I started having weekly visits with Bert and Barbara almost twelve years ago, shortly after they moved next door to us. My son was only three and a handful to say the least, and Bert was so wonderful with him, like another grandfather, even. He played with him, doted on him, and had so much patience. For me, he always had a story, a smile, and words of encouragement, and he was always there to lend a helping hand (like the time my key broke off in my front door!). Bert was the happiest, most optimistic person I've ever met, and my life was better for having him in it.

I will always keep sweet memories of my dear cousin, Bert. He and his wonderful wife, Barbara helped us a lot when we needed it, when nobody else would. I and my husband, Vilmos will never forget their first visit - our first meeting - in Morgantown, WW at Easter 1986. Bert was a good/hearted and caring person whom we loved very much. We will miss him. May he find eternal peace. We will light a candle for his unforgettable memory in his birth country, Hungary.

I've always remembered playing the game aggravation with pop-pop when I was younger. Even though pop-pop loved the game, Bert and I would always find a way to aggravate him during it. We will all remember the good times that we have had with pop-pop. He was a great person, and the best grandfather someone could have asked for. We will all miss him very much.

I always had such a great time going over Pop-pop's house when I was younger. One of the funniest memories i can remember is when he used to let us ride the riding lawnmower around the yard for fun. The one day he decided to let Steven ride the lawn mower around the yard and Steven rode it right up onto the big pile of sand he had in the backyard. We all got a good laugh from that one. On a serious note, Pop-pop was a great role model for all of us growing up. He was one of the most loving, caring, kind hearted people you would ever meet. I will miss him very much.
