To the family of Mrs. Arik,
I'm deeply sorry for your loss of this beautiful mother, sister, wife, and friend. I see she loved justice just like God Almighty does. Acts 10:34 says, "God is not partial." And Psalms 33:4-5 says "He is a lover of righteousness & justice" May this bring you hope at this difficult time.

Our deepest sympathies to the whole family, and especially to Bob, River, Max and Sofia.
Much appreciation to Leyla, for making possible that two sisters reconnect, for her loving support of Deniz when she needed it. Thanks also to Melis for all her work lovingly caring for Deniz, and her family, in her final months, weeks, and days.
May God be with you all and we thank Him for the life, which blessed her family and friends.
Sincerely, and with deep heartfelt sympathy, Yasemin, David, Dylan and Arika.

Condolences to the family of Deniz. It is a delight knowing that in the future, no borders will exist on Earth. The Bible prophecies in Isaiah 65:17 that God will "“Create new heavens and a new earth."

There are so many things I thought I would say here to celebrate her life. But now, at this moment, those things all seem gossamer, like foam on ocean waves. What is relevant is that this astonishing woman will live on in me, in her family and friends, in us, we that were fortunate enough to be able to gaze out upon this beautiful Sea that was and will always be our Deniz.

Deniz will be missed, greatly. Her spirits was and is strong, driven, passionate, with an incredible sense of humor. I will hold onto the gifts she has given me that have become a part of me. Thank you Deniz for the gifts you have given us all. In the deep grief of your death that no mother should endure at such a young age I will celebrate your life and always keep you close to my heart.

I wish I had met your sister, Tali, I'm sure we would've hit it off great. Her work was very possibly the toughest job a lady could have chosen...helping others to come to America...It sounds as though she had a great life with lots of love and friends...We don't really know what it is like on the other side, but we do know that God would want to take good care of those who helped others during a lifetime on this side...So, the Arik family can rest assured their beloved is being well taken care of today, tomorrow and forever...God Bless...Norm Johnson

Thank-you sister Melis for writing these words of our dear sister Deniz. No obituary can reveal the depth and richness of a life fully lived, with so many hopes and dreams realized, and so many left to be...so much yet to do...so many experiences yet to be lived and enjoyed...Deniz, be satisfied with your works and creations, for you have left another generation to continue what you left behind, here...River, Max, and Sofia, with the guidance and care of their loving father Robert, who is well-prepared to continue your good works and intentions through them...
You will live on...you are now released from your Earthly cares...

She was such a smart, strong lady. She knew her stuff. I love that even in her illness she was still speaking passionately on issues of justice, still holding the powerful to account. We are better for having known her and will miss her sorely.
