Oh my. How I enjoyed hearing your mother's laugh, drifting down to the bedroom my brother Doug and I shared. It was always fun when Bill and "Dot" came to visit, have dinner, or hold a church committee meeting. Dottie was such a great friend to my mom, Ann Taylor. I think, even with "good" marriages, they leaned on each other when times with their respective men turned confusing, personally hurtful, or otherwise challenging.

And what mothers they were!! Imagine willingly inviting over a family that would guarantee there would be 9 children underfoot. "Go play outside" was the frequent solution when things indoors became too much.

When I think of Mrs. Baar I remember her kindness, her smile, her lilting, mild accent and the funny, crooked smile that spread over my Mom's face when Dot was around. How rich they made each other's lives!

We feel very fortunate to have known your beautiful Mother. She was our Mom's neighbor for the last several years. May she forever rest in God's Loving Hands.
