It was a privelege for me to get to know Felix and to take care of him. A wonderful and dear person..so sorry for your loss!
October 30, 2017
Tio Chico, growing up it was him always telling us nieces and nephews to call him "Felix", not Chico. Of course, that was never the case but Felix to us was Tio Chico. Being his oldest niece, I remember growing up and he lived with us for a bit, visited when he worked out of state and my mom sending him El Pato in states he couldn't find it. I remember how he would tease us and at family gatherings and at times looking back at him and he would be laughing so hard, most likely at something one of us said or did that got a laugh out of him. He was a private person and had his routines or always a plan. Unfortunately 6 months ago he didn't expect this plan. None of us did. I had the blessing to spend nights at his house during the week, we would watch some of his shows he liked and we didn't need to talk but just be there so he wasn't alone. I still can't believe he is gone. He is loved and he will always be close to all of our hearts. Tio Chico, I love you, know you are at peace and no longer suffering. As Teresa said, this was not your plan, but God had bigger plans for you. Know you will forever be missed, loved, and thought of everyday. This is not goodbye but only until we see each other again.
