Dear Grandma,

I want to start by saying thank you for all you gave. I because of you strived to be a better person. You always gave no matter what it was or who it was, you always gave. I have so many memories because of you and grandpa, ones that are so powerful and meaningful. I was like your shadow growing up. I was always there, you made sure I got breakfast before school, always had a snack or 2 when I got home, and always had a hot dinner on the table. I went on so many vacations with you and grandpa, it was like you planned them with me in mind. You took me skating at the park, sailing on Uncle Jim's catamaran, golfing, fishing, to the beach, to the snow, the Grand Canyon and Disney World, and so many others. Grandma thanks for being there when no one else was. It's going to be difficult knowing when I call you won't answer, or if I stop by, you won't be there to eat my cheeks hugging me and kissing me with excitement seeing me.
The greatest gift I received in the end were the days leading up to your passing. I was able to say goodbye, I was able to hear you say "I love you Chrissy ", you held my hand and smiled. That was the best gift a person, your granddaughter could get. I worried for years that I would never have the chance for goodbye. I never had that chance for grandpa. I know he loved me, but I never said goodbye. I love you so so very much. I'm happy your finally at peace.

Love forever,

Chrissy
