I had the pleasure of learning from him several years ago and I've often remembered that experience with fondness. Prayers for him and his family.

I knew Jim when he started as an adjunct faculty member at GateWay. His exuberance for instilling a love for math was the same then as it was when he retired. He changed the math offerings at GateWay. Prior to his arrival, GWCC did not offer any 200 level math courses. He changed so many students lives and was supportive various programs, e.g. TRIO to ensure students knew what resources were available for college success. Jim was a professional, colleague and friend to many. My sincere condolences to the Baugh family.

Jim was such an extraordinary person who meant so much to so many! I had the pleasure of working with Jim for many years at GWCC and had the privilege of calling him my friend. He never met a cookie he didn't like and shared them with me freely and frequently! I had already missed him keenly in the halls of GWCC as we began this semester; he leaves a huge void and will be missed. Tom and I send our love to Deb and Jim's wonderful family. Margi and Tom

This man was a mentor to me my last two years at West Point. As a new member of the LDS church at that time, he was an great example to me and my fellow LDS cadets. He and his dear wife were present at my Temple wedding. I now have a righteous posterity that includes five sons and six grandchildren. I also have an extensive genealogical tree that has linked me to my ancestors for eternity.

Be thou at peace Brother Baugh
