I was a friend of Jan's for many years. I met her when she adopted a cat I had rescued, Samantha; eventually, she also adopted Weeba, Samantha's daughter, when i left Phoenix. I have been reviewing my journal entries about when she visited me in FL when I lived in Dunedin. So I thought to research her name. I am so sorry that she has passed. We remained friends for quite some time but I lost touch with her when she began to have memory problems. She had one of the finest and most loving hearts I have ever met, especially given the mental and emotional challenges she faced. I feel honored that she was my friend. Rest in Peace my dearest Jan.
