John Jarvis Obituary

John W. Jarvis

August 21, 1940 TO March 23, 2018 - John was born in Chicago in 1940 and grew up in the loving family of John and Wanda Jarvis with middle brother Conrad and youngest brother Paul in the suburb of Lincolnwood, Illinois.

John went to Loyola Academy High School for two years prior to the Jarvis Family moving to Phoenix in 1956, where he spent the last two years of High School at Brophy College Prep. He is a graduate of Arizona State University in Political Science and a former member of Social Fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. There was a special place in John's heart for Brophy and ASU and he was very loyal to both schools and went to sports events at each for many years.

He moved to the Los Angeles area in 1966, married and worked in the retail industry. He returned to Phoenix in 1989 and established himself in local politics and charity work. John loved to talk about history, current events and was very active in the local political process, as well as his devotion to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Community.

He is survived by sons John Jr., Kevin and David and daughters Amy, Heather and Amanda and his former wife Colleen.

The family will hold a private memorial service.

a Celebration of life will be May 21st 2018, 4pm at Brophy Chapel.
