I feel very blessed that I got to have Robert Gary as my grandfather and my childrens' great grandfather. He was always an example of kindess and meekness and made everyone around him feel cared for and loved.
A quiet observer, he was very intelligent and knew the answer to every question, but never in a boastful or ostentatious way. He was great at Jeopardy! :) I have never seen him angry in my life and have always admired his patience and sweetness to those around him.
My favorite memories of him growing up are wheel barrow rides around the backyard, listening to him sing around the house, mini golfing, playing baseball and catch, and about a million others that I will always cherish. We love and miss you so much, Grandpa Bob! You are always with us.

Love,
Alyssa and the rest of the Rose Family (Jordan, Jonah, Norah, and Etta)

I've grown up around 2 MEN born in 1927, my own Father and Bob Gary. That Greatest Generation breed are tough to beat. They weathered depression and war to come home and build lives and families in the land they loved so much. They respected hard work and people who served others. They were such fine examples of the type of person that makes this world a better place. I'll miss their stories and die hard attitudes. Where ever we go after this life, guys like Bob deserve the red carpet. His family will forever cherish his legacy.
Go Navy, Beat Army.
