Dwayne what can I say, we've known each other since the 50's, grew up with some good kids and neighborhood. The bad part about getting older is you lose contact with so many of your early day friends, wished we could have been in touch more. God be with you Dwayne and my condolences to all the family.

Donna,Judy, & I were saddened to hear of Dwayne's death. Our thoughts & prayers are certainly with all of you. Dwayne has called me to keep me updated on our California family for the last several years. I'll miss those calls. My favorite memory of my big cousin was when I was a very small 12 year old. A neighborhood bully merely walked by me. But, I guess, Dwayne did not like the way he looked at me. The next thing I knew he was dangling about three inches from the ground with Dwayne's hands aroung his throat. They calmly discussed the matter. That has been nearly 50 years ago & that kid has still not got the nerve to look me in the eye. He was so very strong. I'll miss my protector, his phone calls, & how he never let distance deter him from keeping in touch. God Bless. Rob Hensley (Anaconda, MT)

Thanks for sharing your music and leaving many great memories. Now, there is only a silence in Bakersfield music where there was once a great honky-tonk piano man........

I'm proud to have had as great a friend as Dwayne. It has been a pleasure to have listened to your music and even share a stage with you. It is very understandable why your sister "Blondie" has always been so proud of you. Thanks for being there for us last year when we lost my Dad. Thank you for being a friend. Joe and Dawn Stormont
