Janet Louise Coleman, 75, was born in Hollywood, California on May 12, 1940, Mother's Day morning, to parents Arthur and Wilma Coleman. Janet passed on January 20, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, California from complications of multiple myeloma. She had been ill with cancer for 8 years.
Janet attended schools in Chowchilla, California. She had various jobs, the last one in Bakersfield at BARC as a cashier. She loved taking trips in the camper with her mother, to various states and Canada. She especially liked fishing with her father at Morro Bay, California. Janet has always been a very sweet, kind, and gentle person.
Janet is preceded in death by her great-grandmother Elida, grandparents, Joseph and Kate and William and Effie and parents Art and Wilma; uncles Ralph, Robert, Jack and Chester; her aunts Hazel and Mildred; cousin Wayne and grandnephew Jeffrey.
Janet is survived by her sister Carole, nieces Lesli and Judith, grandnephew Philip and grandniece Dianna and great-nieces Rhiannon, Sage and Jacquelyn. She is also survived by uncle Glen and several cousins.
The family thanks Golden Living Center, San Joaquin Hospital, Da Vita Dialysis Center, and especially Memorial Hospital, for all the care you have given to Janet these past months.
Funeral Services are to be at Benedict-Retty Mortuary, 1410 Quintana Road, Morro Bay, California, Friday, February 5, 2016, at 12:00 noon.
