We were so saddened to hear of our dear Aunt Virginia's passing. She was an incredibly warm and kind spirit. I still recall a fond childhood memory of visiting Walter and Virginia at their warm and welcoming home in Augusta, and we were so warmed by the special relationship she formed late in life with my grandfather Irwin. While my wife Rene and son Ethan only grew to know Virginia in her later years, she welcoming them as if they were her own kin - as I'm sure they were in her mind, as she treated everyone as family. While the world has lost a truly remarkable women among us, we know that her spirit lives on within us all.

God bless and God Speed Aunt Virginia,
The Tiejema family, Russ, Rene & Ethan

Virginia was a sweet gentle lady with a great sense of humor. We have fond memories of the visits she & Walt made to Wisconsin and her great Apple pies. We will cherish those memories.

Bill and Gail - I have such fond memories of being at your Home growing up. Virginia would always have fresh baked cookies or treats - usually displayed in some fun way. Wally and Vince would be in the office solving the world's problems while smoking their pipes. You and Martha and I would be on the stairs playing Button, Button - whose got the button. Then there was the jeep ride around the Kellogg Forest to close the gates at night - Wally driving, Vince ridding shotgun and us kids bumping along on the open tailgate! What wonderful memories!! Your Mom was dearly loved by my mom and all us kids. She was clever, talented in so many areas and always welcoming and loving to us kids.
After moving to Washington we planted two Eastern White Pines in your folks honor and named them Wally and Virginia.
My sincerest condolences.
Love, Muggs
