I was saddened to learn of Caris' passing. She had written to me 20 years ago about a genealogy search I was doing on the Roarty family. Regards, Mike Roarty (De Pere, Wisconsin USA). [email protected]

To the family of Caris - Michelle, David, Elizabeth and families. You all provided such a peaceful haven for Caris after she left her beloved home in Pambula Beach. I remember the day we arrived next door in Weemilah - exhausted from the trip and Caris appeared with a Robur Teapot and two cups and saucers- such a beautiful thought. From then on, we enjoyed a wonderful friendship. I served with Caris on the Board of the Pambula Nursing Home and we stayed connected after we returned to Melbourne. A special memory was returning to Pambula to surprise her for her 90th birthday. I shall miss our weekly phone conversations. I was inspired by her delicate paintings which gave her such pleasure, her wonderful garden and her gathering of new friends which added a great interest to life - maintaining joy in each new day. Always warm and compassionate and stimulating. Great memories. Warmest regards Faie Basser

With love and sympathy to Michelle, Peter, Michael, Liz and Family on the loss of Caris. A lady of integrity and grace who will be sorely missed by all. It has been such an honour to have known Caris.
I remember her keen enthusiasm to talk about the Arts: her favourite music, ballet, books and movies. She also loved discussing and learning about science and space. Caris was very sharp and always enjoyed a good laugh.
With love
Megan Clark, Trent, Erin and Elliot Hutchinson
