Rest in Eternal Peace. My buddy Mike was the medic that tried to save you. I wish you would have come home like we did.

Thanksgiving has come and passed. I have thought and spoken alot about Randy at our family gathering, updating my wife's family members and their children about Randy. I have, since he was MIA, had an empty spot in my heart, as I recalled the great memories of growing up with him and have followed his story and efforts to recover Randy and others, for almost 40 years. I only have memories of until I too went away, to Vietnam, so I didn't get to know him as an adult, but all I have heard about him from others, I know we would have had a great adult relationship. Randy has influenced my life and my family's life these past 40 years and his name and memory continue through my middle son, Randall; Randy's name sake. He would be proud to know the the impact and influence he had and continues to have although his time on earth was short. I am pleased that Randy is back home and the recognition he has received; he deserves it as he gave all for us and his country.
