I have never known anyone like my brother Al. He loved life. He was the most optimistic person I've ever known. He was exciting to be around and never boring. He was 5 years older than me and took his big brother role seriously. He was always looking out for me. When I first started dating, if my date and I went to a movie, He was there. If we went to a collage dance, he was there. I wasn't always happy with him then, but he would always say that he had to watch out for his "baby sister" and so he did all my life. We always stayed close. We talked to each other at least once a week. He was my protector, my confidant, my friend. His "baby sister" will always love and miss him.

I didn't get to spend alot of time with my Uncle Al but I thought he had a tremendous spirit. He was always upbeat and positive and looking forward. What a bright light he was and such a kind man. He and my Dad were buddies and my Dad, Bob loved Al dearly. We have not told him about Al so that for Dad, who is in a residential care home, will not be heart broken. Al was a sweet and wonderful brother to my Auntie Jeanne who is the kindess person I have ever met in my life. She and Al were alot alike and I know she will miss him dearly.

Alla, Please know we are here for you at this time. We loved Al dearly, he was a great friend. The stories of his life he would tell his, we will always remember. We have never met a person that fought cancer like he did, he give it a long and hard fight! Everyday when 5 o'clock hits we will think of him at cocktail hour. The love that was in both of your eyes, for each other should be a inspiration to us all. We love you!

Alla,
We loved Al, he was a great friend and was like a grandpa to our kids. He made us laugh and always had a huge smile, that could brighten us up, when we had a bad day. He will be missed so much. We know how much you loved and cared for Al, so just remember we are here for you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love,
