It's been years. They've been a many long, hard years, and although I'm a different person now and grown up, it's still hard not to think about it. This isn't something that one can move on from, but it does become easier to cope with loss. She will never be forgotten and lives on through our hearts.

I am engaged to a "ROFO" and would like to know if an education fund, or trust has been set up for Micaela?

Please email the information to: [email protected]

My deepest condolences, to Chrissy's family...

I am the editor of Cat Oars, a literary review. Maria-Christine contributed two stories, one to "False Prophets/True Believers" and another to the second edition of "A Charlie Taylor Christmas." She was a passionate, intelligent and interesting writer and I enjoyed collaborating with her. But I am writing most of all to note that she endeared herself to the other members of the group in many ways. Collaborating on literary ventures on an Internet forum and via e-mail can be a chaotic process, and amid that environment she always maintained her grace and a sense of humor -- she was a charming presence. I know I speak for many of the Cat Oars writers when I say her contribution to both the review and the forum was valued. I offer sincere condolences to her family and friends. That she leaves behind her beloved daughter is excrutiatingly heartbreaking.

I find it hard to believe "miss conception" is gone. I feel like I knew her, perhaps more than if we had ever been in the same room together. She was so alive, so warm and human, so full of joy.

I am going to miss her.

I did not know Christina personally, but I often read her posted writings in the Craigslist Literary & Writing Forum. She had a kind and lively spirit, and was always happy to encourage others in their efforts. She wrote often of her daughter, and it was clear this child was the light of her life. My heart goes out to all of her loved ones in this time of sorrow. She will be missed.
