Roger Allen Van Weerdhuizen
April 18, 1969 - January 11, 2021
Ferndale, Washington - This world gained an unbelievable presence on April 18, 1969 when Roger was born. His vast connections and great rapport with people were a gift, and his athletic talents, legendary. His generosity to others was unmatched. Whether it was his time, energy, smile, laugh, stories, great hugs or most of all his heart, he was always willing to give. He would light up a room! He was truly one of a kind. Roger was never more thrilled than the days he and Toni welcomed their sons into this world. He considered Gerrit and Travis his most treasured accomplishments. Numerous people knew and loved Roger. God blessed us with 51 years of cherished times with Roger, and then God called him home to heaven on 1/11/2021. Although we are heartbroken by this loss, we know heaven has welcomed an extraordinary soul. Roger is survived by his wife, Toni, sons Gerrit and Travis, parents Gerrit and Donna VanWeerdhuizen, siblings Terry (Connie) VanWeerdhuizen, Julia (Torrey) Lautenbach, nieces Tara (Josh) Ferreira, Jordan (Jake Schmitt) Lautenbach, nephew Tarren (Rachel) Lautenbach, numerous aunts & uncles, extended family, dear friend Shell'Lee VanWeerdhuizen, and an abundance of "extra" nieces and nephews who knew him as "Uncle Rog". Dear Roger, heart of gold, you will be missed. Please share your thoughts and memories of Roger online at, www.sigsfuneralservices.com.

I want give the familly my condolences. I met Roger playing football. I was lucky enough to play with him for three years. What a force! Everytime I saw him whether on the field, or out in public he always had a big grin on his face. Sorry for your loss.
