Our angel, Abby Caroline Pennington, 19, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017. She was born July 2, 1998, at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock. She graduated from Benton High School in 2016 and was currently a sophomore at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.
She is survived by her parents, Ryan and Mandy Pennington; a brother Reece, 9, who she loved with all her heart; her paternal grandparents, Bruce (Pa) and Gail (Nanny) Pennington, who were very special to her and she was the light of their lives; maternal grandfather, Mike Love; an uncle, Blake Pennington, who adored her; two aunts, Mycah Love and Josey Love; special great-aunts and uncles, Linda and Andy Smith, Judy and Mike Montgomery, Doris and Gary Morris, and Valerie and Marvin Wheeler; and cousins she loved so much and will be forever special, Kayla Pennington, Christopher and Dakota Phillips, Tyler and Lucas Smith, Daniel Montgomery and Caitlin Yadamec. She had many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved her so very much.
Abby also had countless wonderful friends whose lives will be forever touched by her laughter, friendship and memories.
Abby was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Cindy Brisco; paternal great-grandparents, Arnold and Ellen Sandage; and her maternal great-grandfather, Bill Love.
Abby left in the care of her family, her precious cat, Ezra, and her tail-less fish, Robert.
Pallbearers are Zachary Caplinger, Tyler Smith, Lucas Smith, Preston Madison, Aaron Smith and Yates Prickett.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Christian Life Center of First United Methodist Church in Benton with burial following at Ouachita Cemetery in Donaldson.
The Rev. George McCoy and the Rev. Ben Crismon will be officiating.
