Alison, I’m blessed to have known you since childhood where we hung out after grade school doing homework, playing games, watching TV; you were always mature, strong, and courageous from a young age, never heard you cry and/or complain about anything.

You didn't try to fit in the crowd or change for anyone, that's a blessing. You enjoyed reading and writing; etc. you knew and was secure in your God-given gifts and talents. You are In God’s Hands; Rest In Peace my friend/classmate; you will be greatly missed. My prayers and love to all her family and loved ones always.

"Success isn't what you've done compared to others. Success is what you've done compared to what you were made to do." -Lecrae

Dearest Alison, you were made to inspire. Your life was a beautiful sonnet; filled with melody and tragedy. We learned from your joy and your pain. You inspired us.

Rest with the Father. We will never forget you.

Alison, the women of See Jane Write and I will never forget you. Thank you for the wisdom and the humor you added to all of our writing and critique sessions. Thank you for the affirmations, for the Lecrae lyrics, and for all of the encouragement. Thank you for the words you wrote and put into this world. And most of all, thank you for your kind heart. I'm so glad I got to know you, Alison, through Lucy's writing class. Your words, both written and spoken, inspired me often and made me think. Your bravery and willingness to keep going despite your illness moved me. I appreciated your feistiness and willingness to speak out when something seemed unjust, even though your energy was limited. I regret how short your time was and all the words you didn't get to write or speak. I pray you are now fully healed and in the presence of God, whom I know you loved and trusted with all your being. I'll miss you.
