My condolences to the Bowie Family. Our families have had associations over the years starting with my Aunt Eva Hardy Jones being great friends and Evell being a Talladegan.

So sorry to hear about Ms. Carol’s passing. I, too, met your mom at Fair Haven as she was on same wing as my mom, Eleanor Powell.

I made a point to talk with her every visit. Loved her stories, her singing hymns and any song! She had the best smile and laugh. She loved her snacks!

I asked about her just this past Saturday when I had a porch visit with my mom.

Prayers for peace for the family and happy she now joins her husband. She spoke often of him, her children and grandchildren.

Please accept my and my mom’s condolences on the loss of your beautiful mother. I met your mom at Fair Haven Methodist Homes. She and my mother, Ms. Willie Mae Smith, would chat awhile in the Commons Area. We are both retired educators and hit it off the first time we met! Please know that we are praying for you now and in the days to come. May God Be With You.

Mr. Bowie will be missed by all of the individuals whose life she touched. She was such a warm and caring spirit. Our families were forever connected, whether it be through church(Sixteenth Street Baptist Church), education(Birmingham City Schools) or alumni activities(Talladega College), Mrs. Bowie was always a part of the process. Our prayers are with Sharon, Evell, Jeff, Karen and all other family members at this time. Blessings and Peace be yours now and always! The Maull Family....Carolyn, Wendell, Agnes

To the Family: Much love, prayers and sincere condolences from your Old Pine Road family. Your mom was a kind, loving and great neighbor, always concerned about the children, for over 50 years. She was an active member of the Smithfield Estates Neighborhood Association and the “Old Pine Road Street Watch”.
We were blessed as kids to have her in our village.

I’ve only had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Bowie a few times, but it was enough to see her sweet spirit. Praying for the family.
