Velma Jean Choat, age 73, of Birmingham, passed away February 6, 2018. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and loved arranging flowers. Services will be Saturday, at 11am at St. Francis Xavier with visitation from 10am until service time. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard E. Choat, son Richard Brian Choat, grandchildren Amanda Choat and Connor Choat.
