Sue and I are real sorry for your loss. We have known John since the 70's and I had two CFI reinstatement rides with him; plus all the flights with him in the Reserves at Maxwell AFB. He was one of a kind and will be missed.

My dear friend John Lawrence and I have been friends for over 70 years. I first met him in USMC boot camp, Parris Island, after which we spent the rest of our enlistments at Quantico. When we departed Quantico our paths took different directions, but our goals remained the same. To Fly. Those goals we achieved, but now Johnnie has a new set of wings. God speed, Johnnie Lawrence.

My condolences. May you find comfort knowing that God is near you and is a refuge during this difficult time. Psalms 9:9

I first met John about fifty years ago...This was in Alexander City where he had come to give a good friend of mine his periodic FAA check ride to maintain his instructor certificate...Had contact with him many times in later years in our CAP activities...He was always a friend and I know he will be missed by many. My condolences to his family.
