Katherine Twilley Obituary

Katherine Savage Twilley, 78, of Vestavia Hills passed away comfortably Sunday, January, 12, 2020. Mrs.Twilley was both an accomplished pharmacist and Global Methodist Missionary. She retired from public service at Brookwood Hospital. She was a long active member in numerous VHUMC church programs but her real passion was conducting, eliciting and encouraging mission volunteerism. She lived a rich life of devotion to serving others abroad. She was the daughter of the late Howell Staten Savage and Nell Lemon Savage. She is survived by her daughter Katherine Lyn Twilley and son Howell Glenn Twilley. A Celebration Service will be held at 11am Friday at the Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church chapel with Rev. Mike Harper presiding with liturgist Jim Frazier. All are welcome to the chapel narthex from 10-11am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions be made to the VHUMC missions team.
