I can remember the night in 1971 when it was announced that Pat had won the Heisman Trophy. I was twelve years old. The first time I met him was at the 1984 Sugar Bowl, they were honoring past MVP's of the Sugar Bowl. What a thrill to meet him. At the AU vs Oregon game earlier this year, Bo Jackson was there for game day. He was sitting on a motor cycle outside the hotel, and I visited with Bo for about 15 minutes. Bo was wearing a blue tee shirt with the #7. I told him I liked the shirt, he told me that it was for his hero Pat Sullivan, I said my hero also. The night before Pat's death I was speaking with Charles Barkley in Auburn. He had on an orange tee shirt with #7. Just think how the 3 of these AU ambassadors changed our lives. And it all started with Pat

Coach Pat, meant a whole lot to me personally. He made a very positive impact on my life. He was an amazing man, great coach and wonderful guy. He had a passion and love for football like no one else I know. He loved his family and touched the lives of so many people. I want to send my deepest condolences
, prayers and thoughts and support to his family and friends. I will miss him so very much.

Dear Jean and family...We send our condolences to all your family and are devastated to hear of Pat's death at such a young age. The Lord called him home, and we put our faith and trust in the Lord. God bless Pat for all he suffered during his illness.

Please know that our hearts are with all of you at this very difficult time. We have wonderful memories of Willowick and the kids playing together, the arrival of the twins... How time gets away from us!

God bless you all and keep you close to Him.
All our love,
Kathy and Tom Dix
