I offer condolences to the Kubik family for the loss of their beloved patriarch Richard. I was introduced to Richard by his brother Frank, whom I have known since school days at St Stanislaus School in Chicopee.
Richard was easy to befriend, as I also found the other members of the Kubik family, Catherine, Frank Sr, Terri, Frank Jr, and cousin Joann Godek, to be as well. I was quickly accepted as a most welcome visitor in their home and did spend many hours with them, and others, in their home. I must say that the hours with the Kubik family are the most memorable and pleasant of my life. I clearly remember Richard expertly piloting his Cessna airplane to Atlantic City, New Jersey with Frank as copilot. We flew over NYC and, I swear, directly over the Empire State Building both ways. On the return trip Richard easily outmanuvered a Boeing 747 that was rising toward us by gently banking his plane to the left and by doing so gained my complete confidence in his flying abilities. Richard has left me with memories of him being extremely capable and confident, as well as being a great friend.

Joan & family - Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Our many years of friendship is filled with wonderful memories. Even tho we lived miles apart, we still remained close at heart and enjoyed our talks together. May God be with all of you during this time.
