Lou and I went to graduate school at the University of Tennessee together. She stayed with Bill and me, when she attended classes. We visited with Lou and her family when we did craft shows in Asheville. We dearly loved her Mom. She could really tell a story and get us all to laugh. Lou had a distinctive laugh, that once heard, it would never be forgotten. "Missy" as Lou called her niece, was the light of her life. Bill and I were truly fortunate to call Lou our friend and will love and miss her.

Lou was promoted to her eternal home suddenly which left her family, past and present co-workers, and many friends in shock. Even though Lou is rejoicing in heaven with Jesus, all who knew her will keep many memories of her in our hearts until we meet again! She was our sister in Christ!

Lou was the epitome of a nurse, leader, administrator, and friend. Her sense of humor, intuitive solution to issues, and commitment , and smile will never be forgotten. Well done, good and faithful servant.
