I was so shocked and sadden to hear about Jan's (...and Marg's) passing.

I first meet Jan through her Mum when I played cricket with Marg and then Jan, in the late 70s, early 80's. I remember Marg taking us to cricket games in her big Mercedes that she drove, not sure if we would get to our destination as the car was pretty old even then!

We had some wonderful times playing cricket together and even better times after the games socialising. I'll never forget the time when we won a Grand Final and the many days celebrating afterwards!!

I also remember how excited Jan was when she went to Finland as an exchange student, where she would write to me telling of her amazing adventures there.

Jan was a great cricketer and could hit the ball so hard. This skill came in handy when we played hockey together at CWHC after we finished playing cricket.

Even though I lost contact with Jan and Marg over the years, I often thought of them and will always cherish the wonderful memories I have of them.

My deepest condolences to Jan's family, her brother Paul, and friends and family.

very sad to hear of Jan's passing. I met her in hospital and she was so kind and friendly. I always loved having her visit me in Melbourne and stay. We would have long chats often over a yummy Japanese meal. my thoughts are with you - Bruce, Luke and Katelin xxxx I will miss her happy bright light. xxx
