I was so sorry to hear of Gloria's passing. She was truly a lovely lady in every sense of the word. My thoughts and prayers go to all of you as you mourn her loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you today, during this difficult time. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Gloria and I first met as Reading Board of Health Members. Her strength and resolve bent on making needed changes started a relationship lasting many years. She was also a preschool teacher, much beloved by my middle daughter, Nazli, who was deeply fond of her. It was the not just the points where we crossed paths. It was the warm exchanges that enriched our day to day lives.

Hail Met by Donald Green

A moment flickers, unnoticed in daily blend,
Until dreariness dispelled by rejuvenating spirit.

Fortuitous gesture, a voice that compels,
A presence's breath breeds sudden contact.
A smile, a greeting, perhaps jovial expression.

A miracle from the woodwork brightens journeys from
nowhere, somewhere, levitating wispy camaraderie.

A pleasure interrupting the ordinary, sharing inner mirth.
You will remember the gesture, the face, perhaps a name.
Just a fellow traveler's brief ecstatic intrusion.

Much obliged, grace unforeseen, fading sojourner.

I miss you already Gloria. Add my name to those among many who loved you.
