Mark while filling out the date on a form it brought back another memory as tonight back in 94 we played in front of an audience for the first time. That was an exciting and eventful evening playing in a battle of the bands while opening for In the Pink, Cement Shoes, and Mugsy who we for however they judge passed to advance to round two. Course they wanted us to sell more tickets so we passed on trying to pass the next round.

A friend of mine heard the show advertised on WAAF late at night and announced us a Frank Zappa tribute band. Doh! I wish I had a recording of that first show but never the less it's still very clear to me. However I do have a video of our second show at club 3 my father filmed the following week March 3rd or so with Eclectic Wall that I will have to watch again.
Not a bad way to begin having not one but two gigs planned. The first of many.

I keep a part of you with me to this day by learning, listening, and continuing to play music. With my imagination I picture and can hear the things you would say on learning and performing a certain piece.

Getting carried away while writing about you is easy Mark but it allows me comfort and feels like I'm talking to you directly about a memory rather than just the thoughts that race through my head. You're never far from me Mark and never will.

Twenty-five years ago tonight Mark was the birth of Dynamo Humm. I recall us playing together a couple times in may of 93 (we recorded a cover of The Beatles "Something" that is the only music we made that I cannot find.) and even 91 down in a rented room at Freddie G's for the day with nothing but five guitar players :) but.. Not under DH formally.

I got to play those early songs 25 years ago tonight for the first time with yourself and Jed playing Sunshine, Lenny and Cricket song and quite a few more along with some covers from the period. What I care to Be had not been composed then. To be nineteen again.

I love and miss you terribly but I want you to know I'll never forget those times and that is how much of an impact you had on myself and many others lives. Peace and love to you, your family, and friends.

Oh btw. No one has beat me at Street Fighter since our Ken Ryu matches.

Whenever I think of you, I think of how easy it was to be around you, how safe you made me feel, how comfortable you were to be around and how comforting your smile and relaxed attitude were. I didn't know you well, and I didn't know you for long, but I always felt like I'd known you forever, and I will always think of you, forever.
Love, Eve
