TINKHAM, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Padula) Age 56, of Duxbury, MA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 23, 2021 in the comfort of her own home, after a courageous three-year battle with breast cancer.
Jackie is survived by her three children: Nick, Alex, and Sam Tinkham, who were the pride and joy of her life. She was the beloved daughter of her father Joe Padula, late mother Joanne Ferraro, and stepmother Jackie Barbiere Padula and devoted sister of her six siblings: Joey, Paul, Chris, Robbie, Chrissy, and Andrew Padula. She is also survived by countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jackie was the heart and soul of her family and was admired by all who knew her. She was born in Boston and grew up in Braintree. At the age of 15, her mother passed away unexpectedly, and she selflessly took on the responsibilities of being a mother figure as well as a sister to her four younger brothers, ages 8 to 14. She rose to the occasion and never looked back, always putting her family and its needs before her own. From the day she was born, Jackie lit up a room and will be remembered by everyone who ever met her for her generosity, humor, lighthearted nature, and positive attitude. No matter how you knew her, she made you feel special.
Jackie was graceful, humble, spirited, joyful, and nurturing. She had impeccable taste and her talents were countless, ranging from gifted chef to scrabble superstar, charismatic storyteller to vivacious entertainer. She always had the ability to make people laugh, often times at her own expense. Jackie brought such enthusiasm to every encounter; if you ever met her, you loved her.
Right up to her last days, Jackie made sure that there was always an extra seat at the table and plenty of homemade Italian food for whoever stopped by. Jackie's spirit will live on through her family and she will be remembered forever as the incredible, beautiful individual she was.
