CARMODY, Joan T. (Mirabello) At 90 years of age, of Peabody, MA, formerly of Lexington, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2021. Daughter of the late Gennaro and Elena (Favello) Mirabello and beloved wife of the late Robert R. Carmody. Predeceased by her loving sister Geraldine Worthington and is survived by her brother Eugene Mirabello and his wife Sandie of Deerfield, FL. Devoted mother of Robin Arnold and her husband Bob of Naples, FL, Robert, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Nancy "Missy" Theriault and her husband Jim of Burlington, MA, and Kristen Taylor and her husband Glenn, also of Burlington, MA. Loving aunt to Don and Jeff Worthington and their spouses Judy and Pam. Adoring Nana to Marina, Monica, Chris, Stephen and Jake. Loving step-grandmother to Joanna, Bethany and Rebecca, and great-grandmother to Max and Harper. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joan was born and raised in Arlington, MA. After marrying her high school sweetheart, Bob and Joan moved to Lexington, where they lived for 50 years. In addition to raising her four children, Joan enjoyed a successful career in real estate. Joan will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile and vivacious personality.

A private Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 15, at the Douglass Funeral Home in LEXINGTON, at 11am. Although the Service is private, friends may watch a live stream of the Service by connecting with the link in Joan's obituary on the Douglass Funeral Home website, In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at Private interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
