Im so sorry to read about your death Amy. It would have been a privilege to know you. I want your family to know how important individuals like yourself are to us who see the priceless value for heroes/heroines like yourself who stand up and fight for those who otherwise would be run under. You are an amazing person and such a gift to the world. Im so saddened to hear you have left us. God Bless You. I hope you have found peace. Love, Alec Portnoy.

Some friends and I spent about an hour or so with Amy at a party in lower Manhattan years ago.
We had great fun;
never saw her again, but never forgot her.
Upon the hearing the news of her death, we can't stop crying and praying for her. She was just so wonderful and unforgettable.
I remember she told me that friends back home fondly called her Mess.
We rejoice that her pain is over and that she's gone home.

I didn't know Amy but had read some of her cases throughout the years.
Some people touch our lives and hearts not because they seek the limelight but because they have the courage to follow their convictions.
Terribly sad to hear about this.
