Ted or "Turtle" as he was called while playing ball at Wake Forest, was a wonderful guy. I remember running into him on the Cape the day he got back from Woodstock. I was fortunate to play football with him both at Xaverian High School where we were champions, and he follow3ed me to Wake Forest University where we played together side by side o the offensive line and together we won the first A.C.C Championship in the history of Wake Forest. He was a happy man and had a giving heart. I will miss my friend!

I to met Chet at the Vanderbilt Club about 5 years ago. Conversations in the locker room soon shed light that Chet would make the 2 mile hike to the club on foot. I eventually had the privilege of driving him home after our mid-day work outs. The conversations were always enjoyable and memorable. I'll miss those rides Chet. Love you brother!

Ted was a great man and an awesome brother in law. He loved spending time with family and friends. Playing board games and listening to great music. He loved to help with work around my house then soak in the hot tub. Lots of wonderful memories. We all miss you bro may you rest in peace.

My condolences to all the family members. To me, he was a " gentle giant " ,kind ,easy going ,humerus but on the football field he was outstanding. Proof of his football abilities was a full scholarship to Wake Forrest. The 1967 Xaverian High School Hall of Fame Team only allowed 16 points on defense. The Co-captains were Ted Waite and Ed Miller, leaders of a Championship Team. I loved coaching Ted and I will sadly miss him. Armand Caraviello, Head Football Coach, Xaverian H. S.
