Sending our prayers
June 12, 2018
Bill was truly a Renaissance gentleman in all the fine definitions of that term. He was an extraordinary teacher, who loved literature. He had a dual gift of interpreting it effectively for students, while encouraging in them a full appreciation of its most complex but sensitive qualities. Many former students still treasure, and enjoy, our civilization's most pivotal and emblematic works, thanks to Bill. He engaged with students as effectively as a coach, mentor and guide, not only challenging them to excel in sports to their maximum ability, but to play according to the standards of fairness and decency that Bill exemplified so well. Above all, though, Bill was dedicated to his family, all of whom, like Bill, have excelled in life, not only professionally but in serving their communities in multiple ways. He lived by the values he learned so precisely and embodied so thoroughly the values of his Church, of education, of sport. His was a life well lived, always for the benefit and well-being of others, and, for those of us who knew him, he remains a teacher in the best sense of the word a guide to living a life vibrantly, and enthusiastically, in service to family and community.

Dear Pat & family
Our prayers, love and deepest sympathy are with you and your family. Bill was a good man, husband, father, coach and many other hats he wore. I remember what a great guy & basketball player he was at St. Peter's. I have fond memories of our years at St. Peter's H.S. and working with you at Worcester City Hospital. I am so very sorry for the loss of your love, your soul mate.
May the good Lord watch over you and hold you in the palm of His hand.
With Love and Prayers
Jan (Foley) & Bill Haupt
