Miss Hurt taught generations of girls to cook, and cook well and clean. Everyone says 'If Miss Hurt could see me now' if you cut a corner making something. She'll always be at my shoulder when I make a roux sauce and make pastry. Never a hair out of place.

Remembering your kindness , empathy and your love for your family.
Love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation, from those depths we gain our greatest strength .

For those who remember the promotional film We Chose Skegness - well Jean was my Mum - we had a great time doing this at the very start of the 60's. Jean and I then went on to do a further film for Yorkshire Television where we relived the making of the film - we did this at Jean's house. I have very fond memories of this lovely lady - a stalwart of Skegness Playgoers for many years. I was so sorry that I was unable to be there for her service but she was very much in my thoughts. RIP Mum
