BARBARA MAXEY Barbara Ann Maxey, of Boulder City, came to the end of her life's journey May 30, 2019, due to complications of treatment for lung cancer. Barbara was born January 3, 1932, in Illinois to Oliver and Opal (Steinman) Fiebig. She was an amazing mother and was beloved by her children, grandchildren, and the many friends she made throughout her 87 years. She was a talented seamstress, artist, crafter, and hostess. Those who knew her couldn't help noticing her non-stop activity and generosity of time and spirit. Barbara had a gypsy heart, and loved traveling the world with her husband Richard, their friends, and family. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Opal; her sister, Nancy Fetters; second husband, Ernest D. Fauver; and most recently by her husband, Richard Maxey, just a few weeks before she passed. Barbara leaves behind her three children, Lori (Glenn) Hill, Scott (Leigh) Burke, and Ellen (Dave) Mrofka Fauver; as well as nine grandchildren, Christian Payne, Joshua Hill, Amber Payne, Ashleigh Morton, Leroy Born, Ursula Espinosa, Samuel Fauver-Pilonieta, Sawyer Fauver-Pilonieta, and Kingston Mrofka; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Services will be at 9 a.m. Sat., July 20, at the pavilion at the Boulder City Municipal Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd., Boulder City 89005. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
