In my eyes, my father was a big man. He was strong, self-made and self-reliant.
He was a loving son to his mother, Helen and father, Theodore Antoni. He was a supportive brother to his 3 sisters; Dorothy, Millie, and Gerry.
Most of all, he was the family man that was (and still is) admired.

As a daughter, I learned so much from my father. As a strong willed and driven young girl, my father encouraged me, even though the times dictated otherwise. My interests and dreams did not fit into the usual for a young lady in the late sixties. My father was there, supporting my aspirations. He taught me about engine maintenance, plumbing, engineering, sailing, Aviation, just to name a few. We were even Washington Redskins fans together.

My father was also a very humorous man. He enjoyed a good joke and he loved to make people smile. His smile was so big that he always smiled through the his eyes.

Most importantly, my father taught me how to love. Love of family, love of animals, and love of friends. Empathy is one of the most cherished traits that I inherited from my father. When ever the world would get me down, my father was there with a HUG that could melt so much stress or so many of the troubles away.

My last Hug with my father was on March 25, 2018. I will never forget it.

I do thank heaven for allowing my father, Henry to be in my life. He may have left this earth to be with God, but his influence will live on in me, and my children for generations.
'Til we meet again, Dad!

My dad was the first man I ever loved. He inspired me in ways that words cannot describe. I will miss you dad!
